in the Best Pop Instrumental category with the song "Rain",
written by Alien
Love Child bassist Chris Maresh from the Live
and Beyond album. 
The album "Live and Beyond" from Eric Johnson and Alien Love Child features selected live cuts from Eric's collaboration with drummer Bill Maddox (of the Electromagnets fame) and bassist Chris Maresh (Monte Montgomery). Says Eric "The band has definitely taken a life of its own. I never thought we'd do it more than a couple of times, now I can't think of life without it." A couple of times? And going and going....Go! Go! Go!
